Some activities I have been involved at in school is a program called teens reaching youth and Art club. I have done service hours by helping out In a Physicians office. I have a job in which i work 15 hrs a week. (I take care of a handicapped individual). I am Mexican American. I plan to be a General Surgeon when I get older. I have gone to a community college for two years now (during the summer and in the afternoon when the school day ends). and am currently a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Illinois (I live in Illinois). I am currently taking a Phlebotomy technician program and will be certified when I turn 18. (I have 8 weeks experience working in a Hospital).

Artie answers:

You have an incredible resume for being a senior in high school. Not so much academically, but your skills, experience, and qualifications are excellent. I don't know too much about UIC, but I'd say you have an excellent chance getting in anywhere just based on how well you demonstrate your potential and drive.

Ruth asks…

Do Americans know who is " The Mexican Hero and Incredible man" named " Kaliman " ?

Kaliman.- Kalimán's origin is unknown, which helps the sense of mystery that surrounds the character. What we know is that he's an orphan, he has been adopted by prince Abul Pahsa, from one of the kingdoms in the valley of Kalimantan and he's the fifth man in a dynasty of men dedicated to preserving justice in the world, and he's the seventh man of the goddess Kali's dynasty. He sworn an oath to the Kali to wander the world fighting for justice, a vow he must return to India to renew every seven years.

Kaliman wears an all-white outfit without marks, except the jeweled-encased "K" he wears in his turban. He doesn't use weapons, except a blowpipe with tranquilizer darts and a ceremonial dagger he never uses in a fight. He's a master of martial arts, science and arts. He also possesses extensive mental powers: levitation, telepathy, telekinesis, astral projection, control of the involuntary functions of the body (allowing him to fake a dead state), hypnosis, self-healing and so on.

Artie answers:

KALIMAN , is a hero of seemingly fantastic adventures; the unravelling of the plots are always based on logic, probability or science. This character is completely diferent from any other adventure hero that has existed to date. His basic characteristics are that he solves his problems, in his fight against evil, by using the human mind at it´s maximun potential together with his strong and agile physique. He´s a living encyclopaedia , retains all knowledge of arts and sciences as well as the secrets of Parapsychology acquired during his childhood living among the tibetan Lamas.

KALIMAN excels in all sports and athletic endeavors and his faculties are highly developed in mental-hypnosis and mimicry.

KALIMAN never kills a human or an animal; never uses any kind of weapons, but, in extreme cases, handles a blow-gun wich fires small inducing-sleep darts, paralyzing his adversaries for several hours.

KALIMAN , is always accompanied by a egyptian kid named SOLIN who rescues in the first serie of adventures; and from then becomes his best friend and tutor as well.

KALIMAN ´s adventures always take a place in some exotic setting: India, Tibet, in African jungles or Mayan ruins. All the stories of the series contain a positive message for adults and kids of all ages because have action, suspens, mysteries and romances without sex.

Here are some philosophical thoughts that belong to KALIMAN :
Serenity and patience, very much patience.

There´s no stronger force than the human mind, and who control the mind, control everything .

He who never takes risks never wins.

Not even the leaf of a tree can move without the will of the Almighty.

Revenge is a poor counselor.

The mind's eyes can see further.

Even the longest path begins with a short step.

Man was not born to be the slave of Man; I am free and shall keep on being free.

Only the coward dies twice.

Freedom is the essence of life.

Love is the most powerful force in the universe.

He who brings peace opens any door.

Do not seek false paths; the truth is within you.

Life begins and ends with a sigh of hope.

Drugs and alcohol befuddle man's reason, poisons his spirit and destroys his organism.

Gold will never buy happiness .

Smoking is a pleasure that can lead to death.

Sharon asks…

Dream of Lord Hanuman? loooonnngg?

ok so i'm a 24 yr old mexican girl that has never been to india, knows nothing of hindu, and doesnt even have any indian friends. the only thing i know is that shiva is blue &has a lot of arms but that's only because the coffee shop i used to go to had a huge mural of him (i used to think it was a her until last night).
ok so a few months ago i had a dream of a blue man, i regularly look up the different parts of my dreams to find out their meanings and so i looked up "blue" and "man" and all the other thigns in my dream but eventually i forgot all about this blue person and i figured it was because of some digestive issues or somethign haha anyway so a few nights ago i had a dream of a man with a monkey face, (he was a bit on the short side like 5' 2" if that matters lol) and he was looking me in the face VERY intensely. i'm not gonna try to explain the whole dream but he scared me and he was aggressive, didnt hurt me or try to attack me but he broke a door when i tried to get rid of him haha
ANYWAYi woke up and thought it was a weird dream and didn't really know what to look up, i looked up "mutant", and "demon". but didn't find either so i forgot all about it until last night-
i was looking up mexican folk art and stumbled on an ebay seller who was selling vintage hindu posters and saw the posters of hanuman and they scared me so i would scroll down so i didnt have to look at them cuz he's uglylol but this seller had so many hanuman items that i was ilke "geez who is this guy??" so i got my up courage and looked and it said "lord hanuman" so i was like "omg! it looks just like my dream!!"
causing me to also rememebr the dream i had with the blue man and so i looked up more info on hanuman and shiva.

does anyone think this means something? nothing good or bad happened when i dreamt the blue man so i figured nothing will happen this time either but i was hoping for some blessings of some sort lol okay thanks in advance
i was raised catholic but i don't follow that religion, i believe in astrology. no i don't do yoga, and i don't believe in jesus so your answer doesn't help at all.
my questin was "does it mean something to dream lord hanuman" not "can someone giv eme a jesus lecture"
and one more thing, I AM back on track and i don't need anyone to pray for me, EVER.

Artie answers:

Shiva is a demon god, supposedly known as the lord of yoga. He is represented as a long-haired male/female image, draped in snakes and having 3 eyes, also seen to be responsible for the cycles of life and death upon the earth, which we know to be false, therefore he is false too.
God says,
" I am the Lord, your Saviour. I am the one who created you. I am the Lord; the Creator of all things. I, alone stretched out the heavens, when I made the earth, no one helped me...Isaiah 44:24.
For you to be having dreams, which are represented by the demons you encountered in them, I am wondering if you have done any yoga or been involved in any occultic practices ??
You don't say whether or not you are a believer of Jesus Christ but if you are, my advice to you is to commit your sleep to Him before bed and ask Him to give you a good nights sleep and to watch over your dreams.
If you don't know Jesus Christ yet, call out to Him and ask Him into your life, for His name is the most powerful name in the whole universe.
If you are ever having a dream where demons are making inroads, call to Him in your dreams and they will instantly go, for they cannot abide the name of the Holy One of God.
In Psalm 1:6, it says, " The righteous are guided and protected by the Lord, but the evil are on their way to their doom"
Jesus Christ loves you and desires that you be set free, and best of all,He is only a prayer away !
Also, God says, that if any of you lack wisdom, ask it of Him and He will freely give it to you. James1:5..wisdom, in this case, is staying away from those things that trigger instant memories.
If you want blessings, then you'll have to offload the sin first and the best way is to confess any involvement, and ask Jesus Christ to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. And read the Word, (your Bible) and immerse yourself in godly things. Get back on track...I will pray for you.
