Paper mache on a balloon is not an option.. because it needs to be face shaped! does anyone have any ideas? i thought of using plaster of paris on someones face? but i dont know if it effects peoples skin? and paper mache on someone face i thought of, but i dont think anyone would stay that still for 24 hours
! any ideas would be amazing! thanks.

Ever since I was young we have done day of the dead arts and crafts!!!
I grew up in mexico and we celebrated day of the dead like no other!
If you would like to make a mask, I will tell you the recipe we have used for years...!! We actually did them on peoples faces. You must be very carful when you do this:
1. Try to cover the persons face with a sheet foil. Basically make a mask out of foil on the persons face. Leave holes for the nostrils, eyes, and mouth. Try to keep the foil as flat as you can on the persons face. If you need to keep it in shape, you can use two sheets.
2. Make the Paper mache mix. If you don't know one, my personal favorite is glue mixed with water. Mix like half a bottle of glue with two cups of water.
3.You should use newspaper since it is thick and it is very flexible. Cut thin and short strips. This really works.
4. Dip newspaper in the mix, and carefully place on the persons face on top of the foil. (Be very careful, I know elmers glue is non-toxic, but it would be very uncomforable to get it on your face)
*Have the person laying down while you do it.
5. Remove everything off the persons face. When its all dry, remove the foil..Then you can cover the mask with colored tissue paper...
Have fun, any questions...feel free to email

Sandra asks…
My sister is turning 15, and in our culture (mexican) that means a huge party. What do I get her? help please.?
shes into fencing, photography, art, writing stories and poems, music like Lincoln park, and is a girl who spends all her time either in hobbies or with friends, sadly not so much time with me. i dont have much money (about 20-30 dollars) HElp!

Artie answers:
Here is a great idea which will show her how much you love her and wont cost a penny!
Mix a CD with all her favourite music, and put it into a scrapbook with nice pictures and great times you and her have had and her photography. Maybe you could put pictures of her favourite bands in. Write a poem about sisters (or find a touching one on the internet) and put it as the first page for your scrapbook. You could spend your money on nice decorations and embellishments (and a nice scrapbook) and wrap it up really beautifully.
Hope i helped,, levi,,x

Donna asks…
What is the name of paintings made of another painting?
I recently viewed a painting of an old man and old lady looking at each other under a lamp. When you look closer I found that the faces where made of other art (I believe the old man's face was made of a Mexican playing a guitar and the old lady's face was made up of a Mexican sitting). Does anyone know how to find this art online or at least what type of it is?

Artie answers:
