Your Questions About African Artists Music

Joseph asks…

Why do Korean music artist adopt African American lingo/accent?

Don't give me this crap that there's no such thing. Every country, region, and people have their own language, lingo, and accent.

Artie answers:

They just do. I find it annoying. It will be the downfall of kpop (for international fans) if this keeps going. In 4-5 years korean music will be similar to african american rap/music. One reason is because its unique in korea, for example, some companies are making songs based on western music, then korea will label them as "original", "a new style of kpop", "fresh sound" when in fact all they did was adopt some lingo/accent/etc. I really hope its just the current trend and will disappear, hearing korean teenagers say "SHORRY (the way they pronounce shawty/shorty)" IS PAINFUL.

I need to figure out the name of a world/african music artist!!?

I saw the music video on VH1 soul two days ago. It's an old song. I think they said her name is Rami and her album or whatever is "Red Sand In My Eyes" or something like that. But I have not been able to find it anywhere online. :( Does anyone know? The song song title was something starting with the letter "i"... I think it was in a different language.

Check out lyrics.com with that name and you will find what you need.

Donna asks…

is it just me or african american artists are dominating US current music POP culture?

I live in NYC, may be thats why, what is it like in other states?

Artie answers:

I think it is true because the African Americans realized that they have been cut away from their Africa culture. They think theyre are new people of America but they're wrong we are all wrong. They want to be dominant race in america. But People need to learn that America is not just Black and White, or Yellow. America is a number one Destination for those who want to mix with other people, other races, ethnicities, cultures and societies to create a greatest Nation and lead by example. That was the original Purpose for America.
